Who we are
The Settled Mind makes short educational videos about mental health. Questions about your data, or to have it deleted: privacy@thesettled-mind.com. Anything else: hello@thesettled-mind.com.
What we collect
- Your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
- The topics you choose: what you would like to learn about and what you would like to achieve.
- Which video or page sent you to us (for example "episode 1"), and the date you signed up.
- The wording you agreed to and when.
We do not ask about your health, symptoms or diagnoses, and we do not use your topic choices to guess anything about your health. Please don't send us health information.
Why, and on what basis
To send you The Settled Mind Kit and one email a week, and to choose topics that fit what you told us. Our legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to make sure we don't email you again, unless you ask us to delete everything.
Who else sees it
Your details are stored by our email service, MailerLite, and this website is hosted by Vercel. Both process it only on our instructions. To catch typing mistakes, we check that the part of your email after the @ (for example "gmail.com") can receive mail; only that domain name is looked up, never your full address. We never sell or share your details for marketing.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can email privacy@thesettled-mind.com to have your details deleted. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Not a substitute for care
Our videos and emails are education, not therapy. If you are in crisis: UK Samaritans 116 123 · US 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline · or your local emergency number.
